OECD Meeting

The OECD Working Party on Urban Policy (WPURB) will convene representatives from 38 member countries and the European Union to discuss pressing urban challenges. A key session will focus on the Territorial Approach to Climate Action and Resilience (TACAR), exploring the role of cities in climate action. The session will include an update on the IPCC Special Report on Climate Change and Cities, followed by a discussion on OECD's contributions to global urban climate strategies.
COP29 Baku
11-22 November 2024
The UNFCCC COP (Conference of Parties) will convene for its 29th session in Baku, Azerbaijan. The conference aims to drive progress on key climate goals, focusing on enhanced Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), adaptation measures, and financial commitments. Delegates will engage in high-level discussions to address the urgent challenges of climate change, striving for a collective path forward to achieve the Paris Agreement targets.
