COP30 Belém
November 2025
Marking ten years since the adoption of the Paris Agreement, the conference focused on shifting from pledges to implementation. Key outcomes included the adoption of the Belém Political Package, which emphasized scaling up climate finance—particularly a political commitment to triple adaptation finance by 2035—advancing indicators to measure progress on global adaptation, and establishing a mechanism to support a just transition. While the conference reaffirmed the importance of multilateral cooperation and accelerated climate action, negotiations also highlighted ongoing challenges, including gaps in ambition and the absence of consensus on a formal commitment to phase out fossil fuels.
